EVENT PLAYER®
Building on the success of the Edgespan Professional 2K Decoder, KenCast is proud to introduce the next version of its decoding product line – the Event Player.
The Event Player is designed to afford exhibitors of all sizes to benefit from the alternative content market through simple operations and a reliable yet affordable design.
The Event Player integrates seamlessly into the KenCast cinema workflow where live events are centrally booked and managed. This results in a fully hands-of operation in the theater, eliminating the need to hire and train onsite staff for this purpose.
In conjunction with the CinemaPro, which manages multiple live events with simultaneous recording and time-shifting using the built in DVR feature, the Event Player is capable of decoding AVC and MPEG-2 content up to 2K @60 frames per second. It provides a cost effective option for exhibitors to support alternative content up to 2K resolutions.
EDGESPAN® LITE
The EdgeSpan Lite is an integrated receiver and decoder (IRD) with onboard storage that is capable of receiving both live events and DCP content. It decodes AVC and MPEG-2 content up to 2K at 60 fps to provide a cost-effective option for exhibitors that want to carry alternative content. It is well-suited for Business TV applications with its “force tune” feature, where a central operator can remotely set the device to the proper channel to ensure that certain content is played.
